Day-by-day itinerary
Day 1Guwahati to Shillong: Visit scenic Umiam Lake en route to Shillong. Check in, explore Police Bazaar, enjoy local food and relax overnight.
Day 2Shillong to Cherrapunji: Visit Elephant Falls, Dympep Valley Viewpoint, Garden of Caves and Nohkalikai Falls before reaching Cherrapunji.
Day 3Living Root Bridge Trek: Trek from Tyrna Village to Nongriat through lush forests and stone steps. Explore the Double Decker Root Bridge and Rainbow Waterfall.
Day 4Cherrapunji to Dawki: Explore Arwah Cave, Mawlynnong and the India–Bangladesh Border viewpoint. Continue to Shnongpdeng for a peaceful riverside stay.
Day 5Dawki to Shillong: Enjoy a boat ride on the crystal-clear Umngot River, visit Phe Phe Waterfall and return to Shillong for an evening of leisure.
Day 6Shillong to Guwahati: Visit the stunning Laitlum Canyon, enjoy sightseeing and photography, then drive to Guwahati Airport to conclude the trip.
